Ruby came to Safe Harbor in April after escaping an abusive relationship. Since then, she has worked hard to rebuild her life with strength and determination. Her three adult children mean everything to her. After settling into the shelter, Ruby helped her daughter relocate from Roanoke to Richmond. This fall, her daughter will begin pursuing a degree to become a mental health professional by following in her mother's footsteps. Everyone at Safe Harbor is incredibly proud of the progress Ruby has made, both personally and professionally. She is now preparing for an exciting new chapter: moving into her own apartment. To make that transition possible, Ruby needs assistance hiring movers to transport her belongings from Roanoke to Richmond. Your donation can help turn this next step into a reality.
