After spending nine months living in their car, this elderly couple finally has the safety and stability of a permanent home. They are grateful for the fresh start, but their apartment is still unfurnished. During their months of homelessness, their beloved dogs stayed faithfully by their side, providing constant companionship and comfort. George and Evelyn are hoping to secure a bed that they can share with their dogs. Your generosity can help make their new beginning feel more like home.

Mr. Jenkins needs first month deposit

Mr. Jenkins is a 63-yeard-old gentleman who is experiencing homelessness for the first time. He was working for Amazon but was let go for too many "errors". Currently, he is residing at the Caritas Emergency Shelter and has an opportunity to obtain permanent housing. He has been approved for his retirement through Social Security, but his first payment will be after his first month and security deposits are due. Therefore, he is seeking the communities help in paying for his first month deposit to jumpstart his new era of enjoying his retirement.

Right now, she needs assistance covering her phone bill to ensure her service remains active. For a survivor, having a working phone is more than a convenience. It allows Maya to stay connected with her support system, communicate with service providers, manage important appointments, access resources, and reach out for help when she needs it. Safe Harbor is hoping to raise $210 to cover Maya’s phone bill and ensure she can maintain this important connection.

Mr. Chappell needs security deposit

Mr. Chappell is a current resident of Caritas Men's Emergency Shelter. He is experiencing homeless after he uprooted his life in New York to take care of his dying sister in North Carolina. After she passed, his goal was to move to Richmond and stay with his older sister until he was able to get back on his feet. However, those plans failed which ended him at Caritas. Since July, he has been working diligently at a construction company to save up for his next residence. However, he is falling short of our help and is requesting 815 so that he can secure his next apartment and end his homelessness.
